In September 2015, the consulting company ADCONSULT organised on a full-week journey to explore the market of South Korea. The tour included visits to major media and advertising agencies in Seoul and other cities, with the aim of exchanging experiences with managers and executives of the most successful media and advertising companies in the country.
The group members shared their experiences on their ADCONSULT International Trips Facebook group. One member wrote, "Two absolutely different meetings, two absolutely different worlds, two absolutely different bosses, although both are remarkable!" Another member reminisced, "My first email was written 20 years ago in 1995. However, to send it, I had to give it to my father on a disk."
The group visited the largest publishing house in the country and also experienced the Korean media monopoly of thirty-five years ago. The team indulged in Korean cuisine and captured remarkable moments in photographs.
According to the team, such trips are incredibly productive as they provide a platform for sharing and exchanging ideas. The ADCONSULT team has undertaken more than15 such trips in recent years, and their first tour of South Korea proved to be enlightening and insightful.
